Team Leader - Manufacturing - Ashton Under Lyne
Hours: Full time, permanent position, day shift
Salary: Competitive + Annual Bonus
A well-established manufacturer supplying major UK retailers is looking for a team leader with strong man management skills to be responsible for a small team of machinists operating a range of wood cutting equipment. This is a hands-on role working alongside the team in a busy light manufacturing environment.
As Team Leader you will be responsible for:
Leading, motivating and overseeing a team of production operatives to ensure schedules are met within required time frames and to set QC standards.
Supporting and training operatives and maintaining records.
Driving standards and monitoring quality controls to reduce issues and delays
Health and safety departmental responsibility
Troubleshooting machinery issues and developing improved production techniques.Ideally you will have the following skills and experience:
Experience in light manufacturing within a wood / MDF environment ideal but not essential.
Ability to motivate and lead a team
Highly organised with strong administration and communication skills.
Interest in process improvement and increasing performance
Hardworking and motivated with a can-do attitude happy to lead by exampleYou would join a strong cohort of team leaders responsible for their own departments and play a key role in our continued growth and development.
