Production Planning Supervisor

Job Type: 7am - 3pm Monday to FridayJoin a well-established manufacturing company as a Production Planning Supervisor. This role is based in Stockport and offers a dynamic work environment where you will lead a team of experienced professionals in their processing areas.
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you will ensure that production schedules and daily activities run efficiently while maintaining a hands-on approach to daily operations with a progression place in plan from day 1 to work towards Production Manager.
Day-to-day of the role:
Lead and manage a team within the processing areas, ensuring efficient operation and meeting production targets.
Collaborate with other supervisors and managers to optimise production processes and enhance team performance.
Direct and support your team, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Monitor inventory levels and adapt production schedules to meet customer demands.
Assist with label printing, chip programming, and monthly stock takes.
Utilise MRP software for production planning and scheduling, ensuring optimal resource allocation.Required Skills & Qualifications:
Excellent people and communication skills, with the ability to influence effectively and lead a team.
A flexible, hands-on, and results-oriented approach.
Minimum of 2 years' proven supervisory experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
At least 2 years' experience in production planning or scheduling, with proficiency in using MRP software.
High level of administration and IT skills, proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
Strong analytical skills and decision-making capability.
