Major Recruitment is working alongside a fresh produce business based in Herefordshire. Our client produces and packages Cherries, Raspberries and Apples on site, supplying major supermarkets across the UK. They are looking for a Production Planner based full-time on site
As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for processing and managing customer orders. Including confirming sufficient stock levels of fruit and packaging is available to fulfil orders.
Key responsibilities of a Production Planner
Work cross-functionally with the Production and Technical teams to ensure that fruit is packed efficiently to the best standard.
Co-ordinate transport requirements between production team, customers and hauliers and troubleshoot any issues.
Management of direct customers. Point of contact for buyers and arranging forecasts and confirmed volumes.
Ensuring customer service levels are upheld for contract packing customers and retail and wholesale customers.
Co-ordinating the production, sale and dispatch of wholesale fruit.
Managing the administration of the dispatch department.
Working with the Production Manager to ensure product is dispatched accurately and on time with correct paperwork.
Skills required to be a successful Production Planner
Self-Motivated
Excellent decision-making skills
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Strong Communication Skills
Ability to anticipate potential problems
Numerate, literate and analytical
Willing to meet customer needs - both grower and retail
Microsoft office knowledge
Working Hours
Monday to Friday
39 hours per week, 8 am-4.30 pm Monday -Thursday, 8 am-3.30 pm Friday
Starting around May 6th. There will be a requirement to work 6 days a weekthrough July and August (Monday- Saturday), this will be given as time off in lieu during the quiet season.
