An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Officer – (12 Month FTC) to join our expanding and exciting Contracts and Procurement team.
The purpose of the role will be to deliver all aspects of sourcing for projects to efficiently support on time delivery:
Execution of direct sourcing for demonstrator/ prototype /alpha product projects ensuring they are delivered to meet the schedule and cost requirements of the programs.
Alpha supplier engagement and execution of all PPOs & Digital requisitions
Maintaining compliance with Fortescue Governance and procurement policies and procedures to mitigate risk and optimise ways of working
What you will do
Execute system test and validation activities, both on products and on rigs
ERP and Systems Execution: Execute PPO/Digital requisitions efficiently and inline with SQA/E and contracts.
Collaboration: Work with Commodity team to align on supplier nominations and engagement of suppliers.
To support and engage with project lead to manage and mitigate risks.
Supplier Onboarding: Ensure suppliers are compliant & onboarded onto the system in collaboration with SQE & Compliance and governance Teams, feeding into the AVL
Data Management: Maintain MRP Purchasing Master Data for sourced components
Project Delivery: Deliver RFQ, sourcing, and DFX to Projects. Support new customer bids and tenders when directed by C&P Manager
Delivery and Expediting: Maintain on-time part delivery and expediting, reporting risk to stakeholders
Status Maintenance: Maintain parts delivery status in MRP/ERP.
ERP Operations: Use ERP systems to raise purchase orders
Invoice Resolution: Resolve invoice queries in line with KPI’s
This role involves collaboration with various teams to ensure efficient, consistent and effective operations.
About you
Experience in strategic leadership in a product development environment is
Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, legal, commerce, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field.
Professional Experience: At least 3 years of experience in technical buying, quick turn procurement, expediting, and purchasing functions.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and ERP system flow
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication (written and verbal), negotiation, and influencing skills
Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
Personal Attributes: Ability to plan effectively, work independently and under pressure, and establish strong relationships
This role requires a blend of advanced education, professional experience, technical proficiency, and strong interpersonal skills.
