Experienced Principal Electrical Systems Engineer with technical knowledge, hands-on experience, project delivery process understanding, and the ability to work with diverse teams to ensure delivery in line with product excellence. Your role will be within the Group Electrics & Controls Mid-Range team which has responsibility to ensure that all new Product programmes meet the required technical deliverables against required timing.
Principal Electrical Systems Engineer Role:
* Delivering the design, development and deployment of new electrical & electronic systems into the Mid-Range product range.
* Working as part of the systems engineering team, you will support the definition, interpretation and development of the customer and system level requirements.
* Evaluating multiple system designs to arrive at a harmonised solution that meets the required project attributes.
* Preparing the system level and module level requirements specifications in conjunction with developing functional designs to demonstrate how the customer requirements will be satisfied through the proposed design.
Principal Electrical Systems Engineer Requirements:
* You have experience in writing / modelling software related to the delivery of functional safety solutions and security (cyber/digital resilience).
* You are able to use different types of lab equipment to monitor system behaviour i.e. CAN, frequencies, PWM and basic operation
* Have experience in black box testing techniques & taking electronic systems from concept through to delivery.
* Have experience in the completion of different VnV techniques White/Grey/Black box testing and have knowledge / experience of hardware in the loop (HIL) testing – functional test, fault insertion testing.
* Have knowledge / experience of system integration testing at a vehicle level – does the solution power up, communicate, operate and shut down as intended.
* You are comfortable working with various electronic lab tools i.e. Spectrum analyser, Oscilloscope, Signal Generators, DC power supplies.
