Join Our Team as a Principal Building Control Surveyor!   Location: Stoke-on-Trent Directorate: Housing, Development, and Growth Salary: £87.15 per hour   Are you ready to take the lead in delivering a high-quality Building Control service and shaping the future of building regulations? We are seeking a Principal Building Control Surveyor to play a pivotal role in managing, developing, and enhancing our Building Regulations services.   What You'll Do Lead and manage a team of Building Control professionals, including surveyors and trainees. Support the Team Manager in operational management and deputize as required. Ensure the authority meets statutory building regulation requirements and national standards. Oversee safety matters for sports grounds and high-rise buildings, with a focus on fire escape strategies. Manage partnerships with local authorities and businesses to secure additional work and expand services. Handle dangerous structures and emergency building safety issues, including out-of-hours response. Develop marketing strategies to counter external competition and secure new business opportunities.
