About the Role:
PK Education are excited to recruit an experienced and passionate Year 5 Teacher to join a large, 3-form entry primary school in South Leeds. The role is set to begin on the 24th of February 2025 and will be a full-time, long-term position with the possibility of a permanent contract.
You will be responsible for the full class teaching duties, including planning, assessments, meetings, and delivering a broad and engaging curriculum. The class is diverse, with mixed abilities, and includes a high percentage of students with EAL (English as an Additional Language) and SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities), so a strong background in supporting diverse learning needs is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality teaching and learning for Year 5 students.
Plan and assess differentiated lessons that cater to the needs of all learners, including those with SEND and EAL.
Manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive, inclusive environment.
Collaborate with colleagues for planning and meetings.
Support the personal, social, and emotional development of all students.
What We’re Looking For:
Experienced Year 5 teacher, confident in managing a diverse classroom with mixed abilities.
Strong experience with EAL and SEND students.
Excellent classroom management skills and ability to engage a range of learners.
Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all pupils.
A proactive team player who can collaborate effectively with other staff members.
A commitment to working in a diverse school community.
