Location: Spalding
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 (Flexibility Required)
Days: Monday – Friday
Total Search Partners are retained on a Planning Manager role, for a food manufacturing business based in Spalding (Lincolnshire). This is a newly created role, reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, due to the restructuring of the Supply Chain team.
This is a pivotal role, within a business of over 600 SKUs, it will provide a challenging role in the career development of any current Planning Manager. With this in mind, we will only be accepting applications from people with chilled food manufacturing experience.
The Role and Responsibilities
* Lead the Planning team to achieve Service Level targets set by the business.
* Manage the production schedule and stock levels to balance customer service and operational cost efficiency.
* Direct and lead the planning team to ensure they meet company goals and are always engaged and focused.
* Manage, organise and update relevant data usage using Excel and SAP ERP applications.
* Oversee the S&OP process, modelling capacity, demand and key opportunities and risks.
* Control waste levels by challenging operational performance and adherence to plan.
* Analyse and forecast sales information to predict stock holding requirement.
* To work closely with the NPD Team/Process Team regarding new product launches.
Personal Attributes & Skills:
* Proven managerial and leadership experience within Planning/Supply Chain function.
* Strong analytical and IT skills essential, ideally around Microsoft Excel and SAP.
* Develop and maintain relationships with cross functional teams.
* Be able to self-manage time effectively and work under own initiative.
* Show a helpful, open and respectful attitude in all aspects of your position.
* Keen focus on customer satisfaction with the ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.
* A creative approach to problem solving with skills to implement new ideas.
