Planning Manager – Greater Manchester
Salary: c.£60,000 + Package
We’re working with a leading food business who and we’re looking for an experienced Planning Manager who can lead and develop a team and, as part of the senior leadership team, play a key role in driving performance and efficiencies.
About the Role:
As Planning Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring production is able to run smoothly by balancing customer demand, inventory, and factory capacity.
This is a key role for the business and is a chance to make a real impact. Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Coaching, mentoring, and motivating your team.
* Creating optimised production plans to meet customer demand and maximise efficiency.
* Managing inventory levels, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are where they need to be.
* Working collaboratively with colleagues across the business, from production and procurement to sales and logistics.
* Identifying and implementing new, improved ways of working, instilling a culture of continuous improvement, to streamline processes.
About You:
* Demonstrable experience of leading planning teams in a large, high-volume food manufacturing environment.
* Strong interpersonal skills, able to work with and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Data driven, with a proactive approach to resolving issues and improving processes.
* Knowledge of SAP would be preferred but is not essential.
