Location: Glasgow (Hybrid with UK travel)
Duration: 12 months
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30 – 16:45
Rate: £580 per day (inside IR35)
Role Overview
Seeking an experienced Planning & Environmental Specialist to manage planning and environmental compliance for UK onshore wind projects, focusing on Scotland. The role involves securing consents, discharging planning conditions, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee planning and environmental compliance for wind farm projects.
Manage stakeholder engagement with regulators and local authorities.
Prepare and submit planning and environmental applications.
Provide expert advice on planning regulations and environmental impact.
Manage consultants and ensure project timelines are met.
Requirements
7+ years’ experience in planning/environmental consenting for major infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of UK & Scottish planning regulations (e.g., Section 36, EIA, Habitats Regulations).
Excellent stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel.
