Job Overview
* We are seeking Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Nurses to join our team in Leeds. This role involves providing specialised, high-quality care to critically ill children while working within a multidisciplinary team.
* Key Responsibilities
* Critical Care & Monitoring
* Continuously monitor vital signs and specialised readings to detect abnormalities.
* Work closely with doctors to prevent complications and respond to emergencies.
* Medication Administration & Treatment
* Administer prescribed medications and emergency treatments.
* Insert and remove catheters as required.
* Accurate Documentation
* Maintain up-to-date and detailed patient records, ensuring treatment plans are continuously updated.
* Multidisciplinary Collaboration
* Work closely with doctors, specialists, and healthcare teams to develop and implement personalised treatment plans.
* Family Support & Communication
* Provide clear and compassionate communication to patients' families.
* Offer reassurance and regular updates on patient progress.
* Job Requirements
* NMC Registered Nurse (Paediatrics or Critical Care qualification preferred)
* Minimum 6 months of PICU/NICU/Critical Care experience
* Strong teamwork, communication, and decision-making skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
