Band 6 Locum MSK Physiotherapist
Location: Royal Alexandra Hospital, Rhyl
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Band: Band 6
Contract Type: Locum / Part-Time
Working Pattern: 22.5 hours per week
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist to join the outpatient team at Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. This is a part-time locum position offering 22.5 hours per week, ideal for a clinician looking for flexibility while still engaging in impactful patient care.
The successful candidate will work within a well-established musculoskeletal service, supporting patients with a wide range of conditions through assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver specialist physiotherapy assessment and treatment to MSK outpatients.
* Manage a diverse caseload of musculoskeletal conditions, including both acute and chronic presentations.
* Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on evidence-based practice.
* Work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
* Educate patients on injury prevention, self-management strategies, and long-term condition management.
* Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in accordance with HCPC and NHS guidelines.
* Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement projects where applicable.
Essential Requirements:
* HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
* Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, including substantial time in MSK settings.
* Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and manual therapy skills.
* Excellent communication, time management, and organisational abilities.
* Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Desirable Skills:
* Experience with NHS MSK pathways and documentation systems.
* Previous use of electronic patient record systems.
* Training in pain management, exercise therapy, or advanced MSK techniquesBefore You Apply
