Job Description

PHSE Tutor Permanent role Monday to Friday 37 hours per week West Yorkshire LS22 Free Parking DUTIES * The PHSE Tutor is responsible for delivering educational programs and support to candidates within a specific phase of rehabilitation. This role focuses on promoting academic achievement, personal development, and life skills to facilitate successful reintegration into society for personal, social, health and economic education. * To work collaboratively with correctional staff, educational professionals, and other stakeholders to create a safe and effective learning environment. * Provide individualized and group tutoring sessions in core subjects such as literacy, numeracy, and life skills * Develop and implement tailored educational plans that address the specific needs and goals of individuals within the assigned phase. * Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to encourage improvement and engagement. * Create a supportive and respectful classroom atmosphere that promotes positive behavior and fosters learning. * Facilitate workshops or programs aimed at developing social skills, conflict resolution, and other personal development topics. * Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements ESSENTIAL FOR THE ROLE * Teaching qualification or subject specialist at level 4 * Experience of working as a PHSE Tutor or similar BENEFITS * £27,928 to £33,690 per annum * Teachers’ Pension Scheme * Mileage paid * 37 hours per week * Generous holiday entitlement * All equipment is provided to complete the role * Free Parking
