Payroll Specialist - Full or Part-Time Hours 30-37.5 per week - Hybrid working Christchurch - Near Bournemouth - Dorset Circa £30,000 + superb benefits Our client a well established company near Bournemouth in the Christchurch area of Dorset is recruiting for an experienced Payroll Specialist to join the professional and friendly team on a full or a part-time basis. This is a newly created full-time or part-time Payroll opportunity that will suit an individual seeking a varied and challenging payroll specialist job. The Payroll Specialist jobs main purpose is to ensure the timely and accurate payment of all weekly and monthly paid staff for the companies, always maintaining a highly organised way of working to ensure strict deadlines are met. Full Time or Part-Time Payroll duties include: * Produce analysis of pay and employment across the company * Ensure the correct calculation of SSP, SMP, ASPP, OSPP and holiday pay including holiday pay on commission and overtime * Ensure that payroll costs have been correctly allocated to the General Ledger and accounting system * Check correct Auto enrolment pension deductions have been taken from weekly and monthly staff * Ensure the correct deduction of tax and national insurance payments, and remitting of sums to HMRC * Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and requirements, particularly including NMW * Process new starters and leavers as required * Reconcile both weekly and monthly payrolls along with Pension funds reconciliation, including Auto Enrolment, pay-overs etc. * Issue P45s and other tax forms where required * Prepare P11D’s and submit to HMRC * Ensure business is prepared for go-live of Payrolling of Benefits in April 2026 Ideal Full time or Part-time Payroll candidate * Highly numerate with attention to detail * Systems oriented with at least intermediate level Excel * Hard-working, efficient and has a commitment to high quality work * Excellent organisational skills * Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing * Ability to plan and manage workload to meet targets and to meet deadlines under pressure * Personal effectiveness - planning, organising & flexibility, problem solving & initiative, Information seeking * Working together – communication In return to payroll specialist * Circa £30,000 depending on experience * Pension * Flexible working - Part-time or Full -Time hours across full or reduced hours days * Company discounts on products and services * Study support if required * Holiday discounts * Hybrid working – office and home based * Very welcoming and friendly team/business * Gym and fitness facilities * 25 days holidays Ref: Payroll job in Dorset - Payroll part-time or full -time
