Position: Payroll Assistant
Location: Sherborne, Dorset
Salary: £26,325 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm
About the Role:
Our client, a prestigious institution, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to join their friendly and focused accounts department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide payroll support for approximately 1000 employees on a monthly basis.
Work closely with the Payroll Administrator to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.
Process salaries for company employees.
Ensure correct deductions and remittances for PAYE, NI, pensions, and other charges.
Reconcile payroll-related control accounts and prepare necessary reports.
Manage payroll-related queries and liaise with employees.
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with payroll regulations.Requirements:
Previous experience with payroll.
Proficiency in using computerised payroll systems.
Strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and organisational abilities.
Good understanding of payroll legislation and procedures.
Ability to work confidentially and with discretion.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.Benefits:
