The Role Sofidel is one of the world’s leading Company’s in Paper Manufacturing. We are world leaders in what we do, and we are currently on the look-out for an experienced Machine Operator within a production/manufacturing setting. This role sits at the very heart of our production line and manages all aspects of the end-to-end production of some of the UK’s best known tissue brands.
The successful candidate will work on our rostered 4 shift pattern working 2 days then 2 nights so you can get that all important work/life balance.

Main Responsibilities
Maintain the continuous running of our Packaging Machines
Facilitate product change overs including the loading of polyethylene reels
Responsible for the effective running of the log saw as and when required
Interact with the Machine to solve minor issues/breakdown leading to the enhanced productivity of the machines
Carry out quality checks on productions when required and report any faults to the respective person
Carry out small maintenance activities and adjustments
Support the colleagues in case of need and overview the end line process when required
Be accountable for high levels of housekeeping of the working area throughout the shift
Ensure health & safety rules are adhered to Additional Skills/Requirements
