We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as an Operations Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a team of coach and mini-bus drivers, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet, and maintaining compliance with all relevant industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
* Manage a team of coach drivers, providing guidance, support, and training.
* Oversee driver scheduling and allocation, ensuring appropriate coverage for all routes and services.
* Monitor driver performance, conduct regular evaluations, and provide constructive feedback.
* Ensure drivers adhere to all industry rules and regulations, including those related to driving hours, rest breaks, and vehicle safety.
* Conduct regular checks of driver licenses and tachograph records.
* Assist with driver recruitment, including screening applicants, conducting interviews, and onboarding new hires.
* Work closely with management on fleet-related issues, such as vehicle maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
* Contribute to the development of new contracts and business opportunities.
* Maintain accurate records and documentation.
* Promote a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
* Proven experience (minimum 3 years) as a coach driver or in a supervisory role within the transportation industry.
* Strong knowledge of UK driving regulations and industry best practices.
* Flexible
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
* Valid PSV driver's license
