PLANT MANAGER / OPERATIONS MANAGER / SITE MANAGER REQUIRED FOR A CHALLENGING WASTE MANAGEMENT & RECYCLING OPERATION
TITLE: Site Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
SALARY: Circa £60K plus Bonus, Pension
LOCATION: You will be considered from Cambridge, St Neots, Huntingdon, Bedford, Bury St Edmunds, Thetford, Ely and Peterborough areas
Previous roles: Recycling Site Manager, Scrap Metal Depot Manager, RDF Production manager, Waste Management Operations Manager, MRF Manager, MBT Plant Manager, Quarry Manager, Transfer Station Manager, SRF Production Manager, Cemfuel Plant Manager
Previous experience may have been in: MRF, HWRC, MBT, SRF, RDF, EfW, ERF, Quarry, Aggregates, Biomass, Building Products, Production, Manufacturing, Hazardous Waste, Waste Management, Recycling, Scrap Metal, Cement, Concrete Block, or other heavy industry
ROLE: Site Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
You will manage a waste processing operation with a team of staff
You will ensure that production targets and other KPI’s inc. safety
You will be responsible for working within budgets and maintaining cost control
You will effectively plan available resources to ensure smooth operation
You will work with the Engineering team to minimize plant downtime
You will ensure that the site is compliant and be involved in the maintenance of accredited ISO’s
EXPERIENCE: Site Operations Manager – Waste Management & Recycling
You will ideally hold a COTC Level 4, or be willing to be trained (NVQ Level 4) to allow you to be the site permit holder
Experience managing shredding or baling operations desirable
You will ideally be IOSH or NEBOSH qualified or have a strong background in Health and Safety
You will have demonstrable experience managing or supervising a team
You will demonstrate the ability to make a difference in a production environment
Any lean experience a benefit
