Operations Manager - Civil Engineering & Groundworks
📍 Location: Central Belt, Scotland
💰 Salary: £65,000 + benefits
📅 Start Date: ASAP
First People Solutions are recruiting for an Operations Manager looking for a step up from Project Manager or Senior Agent. We are working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering & groundworks contractor. This role would be best suited to someone with a Civil Site Engineering background who has a strong understanding of the full project lifecycle, from initial planning through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
Lead site teams, ensuring high standards of health & safety and quality.
Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Monitor budgets, resource allocation, and project performance.
Drive efficiency and continuous improvement across operations.
Requirements:
Proven experience in civil engineering or groundworks as a Site Engineer coming up through Management
Strong leadership, commercial awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of the full project lifecycle within civil engineering.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Full UK driving licence.
