Job Description

Job Title: Office Support / Finance Assistant Salary: £35,000 Location: Edinburgh (On site) Job Type: Full-Time We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Office Support / Finance Assistant to join our clients team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in finance administration and office support, particularly in QuickBooks, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliation. You will play a key role in ensuring smooth financial operations while providing essential administrative support to the wider office. Key Responsibilities Finance & Accounting Manage accounts payable (AP), ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments. Oversee accounts receivable (AR), processing customer invoices and following up on outstanding payments. Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved. Reconcile bank statements and assist with month-end financial reporting. Assist in processing employee expenses and company reimbursements. Support the preparation of financial reports and audits as required. Office Support & Administration Handle general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and document management. Assist with office supply management, vendor coordination, and day-to-day office operations. Support HR and finance teams with payroll administration and record-keeping. Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers regarding financial matters. Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information. Skills & Experience Required Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations is essential. Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong attention to detail and ability to manage financial records accurately. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
