Night Shift Production Manager – Leeds Area Food Manufacturing | Panama Shift | Salary: Up to £60k Are you a dynamic and experienced leader in food manufacturing? We are seeking a Night Shift Production Manager to join our team at the Leeds facility. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient production of high-quality products. Key Details: * Shift Pattern: Panama night shift (working 7 out of 14 days) * Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum * Location: Leeds * Team: 6 direct reports, managing up to 30 staff Overall Job Purpose: As the Night Shift Production Manager, you will lead your shift team to deliver products that meet all customer and food safety standards. You will provide safety and food safety leadership, effective planning and organisation, and ensure the business is running smoothly and to plan. Key Responsibilities: * Lead the shift team to ensure safe, efficient manufacturing that meets customer and food safety standards. * Provide strong safety and food safety leadership to your team. * Ensure all products meet technical & quality requirements. * Conduct gap analyses and provide relevant training for staff development. * Recruit, train, and allocate resources effectively for all tasks. * Update production plans, address anomalies, and ensure business alignment. * Make recommendations for improvements in processes, equipment, training, and documentation. Skills and Competencies Required: Competencies: * Strong people management skills * Food manufacturing experience * Excellent communication and decision-making skills * Lean manufacturing expertise * Organisational effectiveness * Proficient in computer applications Skills: * Leadership and people management * IOSH or equivalent qualification * Competent in Excel and production planning * Staff development and training delivery * Root Cause Analysis (RCA) training * Hazard Analysis, Allergen Awareness, HACCP, and Food Safety knowledge * Concise and accurate reporting
