Job Description
Charge Night Nurse
Assessing and promoting the needs of our elderly residents to enable our residents to live their best life.
Create and follow person centered care plans to provide the holistic care needed.
Take responsibility for leading the shift effectively and positively.
Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality patient care to residents during night shifts, ensuring their comfort and safety.
* Monitor and document vital signs and changes in residents' conditions.
* Assist in the development and implementation of individualized care plans, particularly for residents with dementia.
* Communicate effectively with team members and families regarding patient needs and updates.
* Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with NMC regulations and standards.
Essential Criteria / Desirable Criteria
Personal Qualities

· Excellent communication skills
Knowledge
· Hold a valid NMC registration
· Evidence of personal and professional development since registration
· Be able to demonstrate how to enable resident’s to live their best lives
· Willingness to keep learning
Abilities / Skills
· Ability to take responsibility to lead the shift
· Ability to build and maintain positive, professional working relationships
· Computer literate
Experience
· Drive and commitment to provide high quality care and exceed expectations
· Experience of Dementia/End of Life care
· Experience working with an electronic care planning system, preferably PCS
