Location: Hackney
Pay Rates: Days: £29.00/hr | Nights: £33.00/hr | Sundays: £40.00/hr
Contract: Agency – Ad Hoc
Shifts Available: Days & Nights

Are you a compassionate and experienced NICU Nurse with a passion for caring for premature and critically ill newborns? We are seeking dedicated Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Nurses to join our dynamic team in Hackney. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment, where you can make a real impact on the lives of newborns and their families.
Your Key Responsibilities
✔️ Provide specialised nursing care to premature and critically ill neonates.
✔️ Monitor vital signs and respond swiftly to changes in condition.
✔️ Administer medications, IV therapies, and ventilatory support as required.
✔️ Work collaboratively with neonatologists, paediatricians, and the multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient outcomes.
✔️ Educate and support parents and families during their NICU journey.
✔️ Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with hospital policies.
✔️ Foster a nurturing, supportive, and team-focused work environment.
What You Need to Succeed
Registered Nurse (NMC Registered) with a valid PIN.
Proven experience in NICU/Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU) (essential).
Strong knowledge of neonatal conditions, ventilator management, and developmental care.
Excellent communication skills and the emotional resilience to support families.
Ability to perform under pressure and make critical decisions in high-acuity situations.
Neonatal Qualification/ENB 405 or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
