Job Description

We are looking for an experienced New Product Development to join the NPD team of this fast paced and modern FMCG business in the Lancing area. As a New Product Development, you will be taking responsibility getting entire product ranges from ideation through to on the shelf with well known retailers including some licenced products that they work alongside. You will be accountable for every step of the product development through negotiations, costings, 3D sampling, tooling and internal and licensor approvals. As a New Product Development your role will include: * Implementing and managing the end-to-end product development process * Liaising and negotiating with Far East suppliers, ensuring costs and production methods match customer briefs * Being responsible for sales sample and bulk production order generation, working closely with the Purchasing team * Ensure that suppliers’ internal resources and processes support the delivery of product NPD. * Being able to take on market research tasks and compile findings into a presentation that will be used company-wide. Requirements: * You will need a passion for product design * A good knowledge of the processes required to licence products * Maintaining a good eye for detail * Ideally you will hold a Bachelor’s Degree in product design or equivalent * Previous experience of developing products and working with Far East factories Benefits: * Free onsite parking * Hybrid working (2 days a week) * 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays) * Private healthcare scheme The role is 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday with the starting salary is up to £35,000 dependent on qualifications and experience.
