Arcas Technology is partnered with a leading MSP who are currently looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join their business on a permanent basis.
Are you a skilled Network Engineer ready to step into an exciting and dynamic role? My client is seeking a talented professional to join their team, providing exceptional 2nd and 3rd line support within a Cisco-focused environment while contributing to the success of cutting-edge projects.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 2nd and 3rd line network support to ensure the stability, reliability, and security of client environments.
* Configure, monitor, and maintain Cisco networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
* Troubleshoot complex networking issues, including connectivity, performance, and security challenges.
* Manage VLANs, VPNs, and wireless network setups to ensure seamless operations.
* Collaborate with clients to design and implement network solutions tailored to their needs.
* Perform network performance monitoring and optimization, ensuring minimal downtime and high availability.
* Document network configurations, diagrams, and changes to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base.
* Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance the organisation's network capabilities.
Key Skills:
* Strong experience with Cisco networking technologies (certifications such as CCNA or CCNP are highly desirable).
* Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls.
* Hands-on experience with VLANs, VPNs, and wireless network administration.
* Solid understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and BGP.
* Knowledge of security best practices, including firewall configurations and intrusion prevention.
* Familiarity with monitoring tools and network troubleshooting techniques.
* Experience in a client-facing role, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
