Job Description
Network Administrator
As a Network Administrator at GBR Group, his primary responsibility will be maintaining the company's computing environment. He will achieve this by identifying network requirements, installing upgrades, and monitoring network performance. His role is crucial in ensuring the network infrastructure's integrity, security, and high availability to provide maximum user performance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design and deploy functional networks, including LAN, WLAN, and WAN.
* Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices.
* Monitor network performance and ensure its integrity.
* Resolve issues escalated by other support tiers by troubleshooting cloud and local infrastructure.
* Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness.
* Mentor team members on technical issues.
* Create, oversee, and test security measures such as access authentication and disaster recovery.
* Communicate with users when necessary.
* Maintain complete technical documentation.
* Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability.
SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
* Familiarity with access control models and network security.
* Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools such as SolarWinds network tools.
* Solid understanding of network operating systems like JUNOS and Cisco IOS.
* Sharp troubleshooting skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* Organisational and mentoring skills.
