Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are seeking a skilled Joiner/General Trades Operative to join our Housing team at North Warwickshire Borough Council. This is a temporary contract for 6-9 months with the view to extend, working 37 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform responsive repairs, planned maintenance, and void works to a high standard, specializing in joinery and other trades where trained.
* Plan and manage your workload efficiently to meet deadlines and priorities.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors, colleagues, and tenants to ensure satisfaction.
* Maintain professional standards, including the cleanliness of your tools, uniform, and allocated vehicle.
* Adhere to health and safety policies and contribute to a safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* A relevant trade qualification in joinery and proficiency in other building trades.
* Experience in housing maintenance or a similar field.
* Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently, and a commitment to teamwork.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
