At Tarmac, ‘who you are’ matters.  We want to get to know you.  If you share our values and are proud of a job well done, collaborative in working well with others and ambitious to make things better, then have a read of what we have on offer.  We are currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Operative to join our fantastic ‘Phase 2’ processing team at our Mountsorrel Quarry, in Quorn, near to Loughborough in Leicestershire.  This role is commutable from Quorn, Loughborough, Leicester, Melton Mowbray, Coalville, Shepshed, Syston, Glenfield, Ibstock, Sileby, Kegworth, Nottingham, Derby, Grantham, Matlock, Tunstead, Derby, Dene, Ashbourne, Oakham, Bardon Hill and the surrounding areas.  Here at Tarmac, we are working hard to create a dynamic and inclusive environment and it’s important that our people come from a variety of different backgrounds. Main ResponsibilitiesThe Multi Skilled Operative will report to the processing ‘Phase 2’ Supervisor and will be instrumental in the operations of this phase in our Quarrying operations. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role; with delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key. Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the Multi Skilled Operative, not exhaustive: Processing plant operations in a hard rock quarrying environment Work with your colleagues to drive operational performance through KPI’s Support the timely resolution of queries assigned to the sector Take responsibility for their own safety and that of colleagues Maintain site housekeeping to a high standard Instrumental in the production of product to meet customer needs whilst meeting internal quality requirementsThe position is a role working Monday to Friday with the ideal candidate providing flexibility and occasional weekend working to meet with the plant’s production needs. PLEASE NOTE: This is a back shift position where the working hours are 15:00 – 23:30 but for the first 6-months, your working hours will be 06:00 – 14:30 to learn the plant processes.
