Role: Mid Day Supervisor
Salary: £23,656 per annum (Full Time Equivalent) - £5,523.81 per annum (Actual Salary) 2 hours per day Monday to Friday (10 hours per week)
Start: As soon as possible
Basis: Permanent - Full time or Part time
From January 2025 Grove Park School welcomes its new Headteacher and we are looking to recruit to our committed, empathetic and collaborative team to take the school forward on an exciting and transformational development journey. Grove Park School, is a vibrant special school for pupils aged 4-19 with a wide range of special education needs, including moderate, severe and profound learning difficulties (MLD/SLD/PMLD) as well as autism (ASC). The school is set across three sites (primary, secondary and sixth form) located closely together in Crowborough, East Sussex.
In addition to new leadership, Grove Park School is also extremely excited to be starting their journey of improvement with the guidance and support of an award-winning special education trust with a proven background in transforming special schools into amazing places to learn and work.
Mid Day Supervisors, an important and integral part of the whole school staff team, are required to supervise and support pupils during the important lunch time period. This role involves assisting pupils to eat lunch, access personal care and learn and play in all areas inside and outside of the school. Key skills required include the ability to care, communicate and engage empathetically with pupils with special needs and establishing positive relationships with pupils and staff.
Whilst previous experience is highly advantageous it is not essential for these opportunities as full training and guidance will be given.
