Job Description
Join the team as a Metal Fabricator specializing in aircraft engine components! We're looking for a skilled craftsperson who takes pride in precision work and can maintain the exacting standards required in aerospace manufacturing.
In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for fabricating, fitting, maintaining, and repairing critical aircraft engine components, working with high-performance materials to meet precise specifications. You'll collaborate with a talented team while contributing to the production of world-class aerospace products.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform sheet metal fabrication work to strict aircraft industry standards
* Interpret and work from engineering drawings to meet precise tolerances
* Use specialized measuring equipment and inspection fixtures to ensure component conformity
* Set up and operate fabricating machines for cutting, bending, and straightening sheet metal
* Maintain machinery, jigs, and fixtures to ensure a clean, safe working environment
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives across shop operations
* Share knowledge and experience through coaching and mentoring new employees and apprentices
* Support flexible working requirements across multiple departments when needed
What We're Looking For
* Time-served tradesperson with professional qualifications in metal fabrication
* Experience working to precise measurements and tight tolerances
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Flexible approach to working various shift patterns
* Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
* Experience with high-temperature alloys (advantage)
* TIG welding experience (advantage)
