Mechanical Supervisor Position Available
Role Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading Building Services Contractor based in Glasgow. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and delivering mechanical services on large-scale new build projects within both the public and private sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage mechanical engineering tasks throughout project execution, ensuring that quality, budget, and timelines are met.
Collaborate with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment with project specifications and requirements.
Provide leadership and direction to the mechanical team, ensuring optimal performance and productivity.
Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, verify quality of work, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Ensure all projects adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Address and manage any changes, claims, or variations as they arise during the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to help secure future business opportunities.
Essential Skills & Experience:
A background in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
Strong understanding of mechanical systems, building services, and engineering practices.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks while paying close attention to detail.
Knowledge of industry standards, health and safety regulations, and best practices.
Experience in project scheduling, cost control, and resource management.
