Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of mechanical systems, including ventilation and cooling, for London Underground and rail infrastructure projects.
Produce detailed designs, calculations, and specifications in accordance with LU and TFL standards.
Conduct ventilation assessments, fire strategy integration, and airflow analysis.
Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and fire safety engineers to ensure seamless project delivery.
Oversee compliance with industry regulations, including BS, CIBSE, and London Underground standards.
Liaise with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to review designs and provide technical guidance.
Attend design coordination meetings and conduct site visits where required.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience in mechanical design, particularly within London Underground or rail infrastructure projects.
Strong knowledge of LU/TFL design standards, Building Regulations, and industry codes (BS, CIBSE, etc.).
Proficiency in design software such as Hevacomp and AutoCAD/Revit MEP.
Ability to work independently within a consultancy environment, ensuring designs meet project specifications and safety requirements.
Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and reportingBefore You Apply
