Job Description

My client is currently looking for a mechanical estimator to join their team in the North East! The ideal candidate must be experienced in estimating mechanical projects, with a strong background in piping, structural fabrication, and installation. This role will require proficiency in PEX estimating for projects up to £25 million. Mechanical Estimator Key Responsibilities: * Review and assess project plans, drawings, and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for mechanical systems. * Prepare detailed estimates for piping, structural fabrication, and installation projects. * Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely estimation. * Assess risks, budget implications, and timelines for mechanical aspects of the projects. * Analyze project scope and specifications to provide detailed take-offs. * Assist with the preparation of bids and proposals for mechanical works, ensuring compliance with all technical and contractual requirements. Mechanical Estimator Key Requirements: * At least 5 years experience as a mechanical estimator * Expertise in piping, structural fabrication, and installation. * Strong experience in PEX estimating on projects valued up to £25 million. * Familiarity with industry-specific estimating software and tools. * Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. * Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy. For this role a valid driving lisence is required
