Mechanical Engineer
Salary: £45,000 per annum
Orion is partnered with a well-established business located in Northampton which is recruiting for an experienced Field Mechanical Engineer. This is a field service role that requires the right candidate to attend mechanical breakdowns within 30 miles of the Northampton area.
Ideal background will be: FMCG, Manufacturing, production plant etc..
Mechanical Engineer Duties:
Mechanical reactive & PPMs on plant machinery
Maintaining indoor hoists cranes and lifting equipment
Attending call outs for machinery maintenance
Supporting the commissioning and installation team
Ensure all maintenance is carried out using CMMS system correctly
Assist with mechanical installations and equipment upgrades if required
Maintenance on hydraulics and pneumatics
Mechanical Engineer Experience:
Mechanical Engineering qualification
Must have a clean UK drivers licence
IPASS certificate
LOLER qualification desirable but not essential
Must have field service and maintenance experience
Mechanical maintenance
Commissioning & installation of machinery and equipment
Strong understanding and ability to work from mechanical drawings
Experience with the maintenance of heavy industrial plant machinery and equipment
Experience with manufacturing and production machinery
Industry experience in food, feed, beverage, automotive or volume manufacturing
Previous experience with PPM and CMMS systems
