Mechanical Engineer
Location: Bolton
Salary: £41,000 per annum
Hours: Weekly rotation – 6am-2:30pm | 1:30pm-10pm | 10pm-6:30am (1 in 4 Saturdays)
My client is one of the largest FMCG Manufacturers in Bolton and they have a fantastic opportunity for you to join their Engineering Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to minimise downtime.
Maintain and optimise bakery production machinery, packaging equipment, and site services.
Ensure all work meets high Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Hygiene standards.
Respond quickly to breakdowns and implement improvements to enhance performance.
Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth-running operations.
Provide detailed handovers for incoming shifts.
Stay up to date with training and advancements in mechanical engineering.
About You:
✔ ONC Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
✔ Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or FMCG environment.
✔ Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
✔ Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH (desirable but not essential).
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
