Job Description

Mechanical & Electrical Fitter required. Our client is a well-established manufacturer of automated machinery based in the Wigan area. Due to ongoing success, they are seeking an enthusiastic Mechanical & Electrical Fitter to join the team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fault-finding, testing and repair of machinery, alongside wiring control panels & electrical schematic design. Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Job Overview Fault-finding, testing and repairing automated machinery Assisting with electrical wiring of PLC's and control panels Travelling to customer sites to carry out service / maintenance Providing remote and onsite technical support to customers Assisting other departments as required as part of a small team Utilising CAD software to produce electrical schematic drawings Reading electrical schematic drawings Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Job Requirements Qualifications / apprenticeship with mechanical or electrical engineering Previous hands-on experience in the build, maintenance of service of machinery Full UK Driving License Good communication skills Experience with electrical schematic drawings, ability to use CAD is an advantage Experience with wiring PLC's is desirable Based in a commutable of Wigan Mechanical & Electrical Fitter Salary & Benefits Salary £28,000 - £35,000 depending on experience Monday to Thursday 08:30 - 17:00. Friday 08:30 - 14:30.
