Job Description

Duties and key responsibilities Generate and analyse the appropriate reports to determine production capacity. Receive customer orders and enquiries from the Sales Department. Raise work orders & purchase orders to agree delivery dates in line with customer requirements and available production capacity in line with TOC. Return customer orders and enquiries to the Sales Department. Generate and distribute works orders on a weekly basis. Advise on make or buy decisions to minimise customer lead times. Place orders on "virtual workcentres" e.g. Belos and any subcomponents e.g., Collets & Weights. Develop the visual workcentres as we purchase planning modules. Provide cover for other members of the planning & procurement team.Qualifications NVQ Level 3 / HND level qualifications desirable but not essential if time served as a materials or production planner.Experience Previous materials or production planner experience in a manufacturing environment essential. Knowledge/experience of importing desirable.Knowledge & Skills The ability to follow procedures in an accurate and timely manner. Communication skills. Project management skills.
