Marine/plater Welders required for an immediate start in Glasgow, contract, and Perm roles available.

The ideal candidates must have:
* 3-4 years’ experience working as a coded welder
* Worked on ship repairs/ a marine background
* Worked with Flux core/Tig/Mig
* Nuclear/security clearance
Job role and Duties:
· Weld metal parts using various welding methods such as SMAW, Oxy-Acetylene, MIG, TIG, Submerged Arc, and Carbon Arc.
· Operate and set up welding equipment for different positions: flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead.
· Perform welding techniques including pre- and post-heating, induction heating, surface hardening, stress relieving, and welding inspections.
· Join a variety of metals, including steels, aluminium, copper, Monel, copper-nickel, bronzes, and cast iron.
· Perform soldering and brazing operations as required.
· Ensure quality by adhering to Quality Assurance (QA) standards and obtaining necessary certifications at different skill levels (3rd, 2nd, 1st).
· Maintain equipment and ensure its proper functionality.
· Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure the safety of self and others in the work environment.
