JOB: Manufacturing Operative
Location: Radstock
Hours: Double days - see below for details.
Contract: Permanent
Pay: £12.31ph (Increasing after 3-month probation)
I am seeking an enthusiastic, trustworthy, reliable individual to join my client’s friendly team in Radstock. If you have an interest in engineering/DIY/mechanics (hobby or work) and are confident working with your hands and basic tools, I really want to hear from you! You will be collaborating closely with team members to achieve production targets and meet deadlines. Possessing a keen eye for detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work effectively both as part of a team and independently.
The purpose of the job is to support all operational area (manufacturing/production/warehouse).
You will be responsible for:
* Follow basic production plans / instructions.
* Complete thorough visual quality inspections.
* Operating machinery and assembly operations within production.
* Complete quality inspections and report any issues to the department Leader.
* Prepare goods for despatch and assist with unloading of materials.
* Undertake stock management activities.
* Be flexible for switching departments depending on manufacturing requirements.
You will also be required to adhere to Health and Safety and comply with standard Operational Procedures.
To be considered you will need to have / be
* Visual inspections of products – exceptional eye for detail
* Computer literate, with the ability to view drawings, work to lists, emails and record stock adjustments
* Be able to work independently and part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong mathematical understanding
* Excellent attention to detail
* Engineering qualification desirable but not essential
* Working with metal cutting equipment
Shift Pattern
Mornings 6am – 2pm Monday to Friday
Afternoons 10am – 6pm Monday to Friday
