Manufacturing Engineer
£42k + DOE, Day shift
Successful Engineering business seek a talented and experienced Offline Programmer and Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating programs for CNC machines to manufacture precision components and providing engineering support in a busy manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities as Manufacturing Engineer:
Working in the Turning section creating CNC programs
Providing engineering support for production and process improvement
Providing operating instructions to machinists
Front-line support for rectifying program and machine errors
Develop strategies for efficient manufacturing processes
Assisting with production and capacity planning
Skills required as the Manufacturing Engineer include:
Apprentice trained or time served engineer with experience in a precision environment
Proficiency in Fanuc programming
Excellent understanding of and machine shop processes
Experience in Offline programming ideally using EdgeCAM
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Multitasking machine experience preferred ideally Mill Turn (B Axis Head).
Any Milling experience (ideally 5 axis would be of great interest)
Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems
Ideally be familiar with working to quality standards in highly regulated industries such as medical, MOD or aerospaceBenefits
Day shift hours (39 hr week)
25 days holiday (plus statutory)
Salaried, circa £42k pa
