Management Accountant
Location: AL1 3JE
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 5+ Months
Working Hours: Mon - Fri, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hours per week
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour
We are looking for a highly skilled and AAT-qualified Management Accountant to join a Local Authority team and contribute to the financial success of services.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards.
Assist in year-end tasks, ensuring all financial activities are completed in line with company timelines.
Provide financial analysis and support to management by interpreting customer inquiries and delivering relevant financial improvements.
Utilise Excel to its full potential, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and pivot tables, to analyse and present financial data.
Collaborate with various departments to ensure that financial data is accurate and supports business objectives.Skills and Qualifications:
AAT Qualified with proven experience in management accounting.
Strong Excel skills, including expertise in VLOOKUP, SUMIF, and Pivot Tables.
Solid experience in balance sheet reconciliations and year-end tasks.
Excellent understanding of Microsoft Word and other MS Office products.
A customer-focused approach, with the ability to interpret questions and deliver meaningful financial insights.
