Overview
Are you a skilled and experienced machinist looking for your next challenge? Rubicon People Partnership’s client are currently recruiting for a talented individual to join their team within the machine shop, working with CNC Mill / Turn.
As a machinist, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, precision-engineered components, often for the aerospace, defence and special applications.
Responsibilities
As a machinist, your responsibilities will include:
Setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-precision components.
Inspecting work against technical drawings and specifications, ensuring work meets exacting standards.
Ensure components are finished in line with industry standards.
Assisting with component assembly.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate for this machinist role will have:
Previous experience with manual and/or CNC machines, ideally within a precision engineering environment.
Understanding of machine maintenance procedures.
Experience working with various material grades and selecting appropriate tools for each.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and follow planning requirements.
Experience with inspection and testing is a bonus.
