Permanent Role
Fareham
Days-based with no weekends & overtime available
Starting Salary: £25,000 - £29,500

As a Manual Machinist, you will be responsible for the manual lathe work of components & parts for new Aerospace projects. You will use your experience and your eye for detail to deliver high quality parts. As a Manual Machinist, you will:
Effectively demonstrate lathe machining expertise to meet business expectation
Use your understanding of manual grinding, turning and further lathe knowledge to deliver best practice
Manual turning of predominantly in process parts with a right first time cut
Be working on multiple Aerospace projects and componentsWhat We're Looking For:
Ideally an engineering apprenticeship, BTEC, diploma or equivalent experience
Experience with lathe work/turning.
Ability to showcase technical understanding surrounding manual machining
Good team player and self-motivated to work as an individual.
High attention to detail.
Eagerness for career progression.What else do you need to know?
Full training is provided at every step for the right individual
The hours for this role are on Days (07:00-15:30 Mon-Thu, 07:00-12:30 Fri). Option for afternoon shift
Substantial overtime available on evenings and weekends once fully trained
