Job Description
Established Manufacturer, Distributor and Specialist in the field of pump and system design, requires an experienced Machinist to join their established team. Providing a wide range of pumps for diverse industry sectors, the role of Machinist will help enable the manufacture of multiple pump units including all instrumentation and control panels.
The Successful candidate for the position of Machinist will be capable of:
* Setting and operating Mazak CNC machines
* Experience using Lathes, Machining Centres and Manual Lathes
* Must have a good machining background
* General workshop experience and be able to identify problems
* Experienced with CNC software and machinery used for computer aided manufacturing
This role is being offered as a Temporary to Permanent contract and the position of Machinist provides competitive rate of pay, company benefits, established work environment and immediate start available.
Skills and attributes required by successful candidate for the role of Machinist include:
* Operate and setting lathe machines
* Using precise measurements
* Selecting appropriate machine settings for any given task
* Inspecting finished parts for flaws
* Maintaining the equipment
Location: Birmingham, West Midlands
Hours of Work: Mon to Thurs 08.00 – 16.30, Fri 08.00 – 15.30 (39 hours per week)
Rates of Pay: £17 per hour
Benefits:
* 4 weeks holiday + statutory days
* This increases by 1 day each year to a maximum of 5 weeks holiday + statutory days
* Private health insurance after 12 months service
* There is limited on-site parking
