Machine Shop Supervisor

Starting at £16 per hour
Our client, an established Electromechanical service provider is currently seeking a Machine Shop Supervisor to lead and support machinists to ensure efficient, high-quality work. Assign tasks, monitor progress, enforce policies, and provide training.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise machinists to meet production goals.
* Plan workflows and manage resources effectively.
* Oversee team performance, discipline, and training.
* Maintain a safe, organized work environment.
* Address production challenges and liaise with management.
* Conduct factory maintenance and ensure equipment readiness.
* Communicate clearly with stakeholders.
* Be available for call-outs or overtime.
Skills & Experience
* Production/manufacturing experience (e.g., aerospace, automotive).
* Supervisory experience in a machine shop.
* Knowledge of machine tools, assembly, and materials.
* Strong planning and organisational skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Excellent communication and time management.
