Machine Shop Supervisor
Salary + 2 Bonuses Per Annum
Contek are working with a client in Nottingham, an established business with a fantastic reputation who are looking for a talented individual to help run their Machine Shop, overseeing the Turning department.
This position requires competency and experience in programming Fanuc based or similar machine tools (open to controls), machining methods and best practices.
The successful candidate will be leading a skilled team of machinists with a focus on making improvements in efficiencies and best practice machining methods.
Responsibilities Include:
* Hands on machining and leading a team of machinists.
* Involvement in work allocation and progress.
* Sharing and advising in programming knowledge.
* Tool setting best practices.
* Managing tooling requirements and ordering.
* Focus and identify areas of improvement.
* Assisting in areas of uncertainty and helping new staff get settled in.
Essential Requirements:
* Have an efficient approach to working methods.
* Good communication skills.
* Positive and motivating attitude toward your team.
* A solid engineering foundation with experience to draw from.
Hours:
This position works a 4 day week on a back shift.
Monday to Thursday:
14:00 - 23:30
