Recruit4staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading Packaging Company in their search for Machine Operator to work in their leading facility in Crewe
For the successful Machine Operator our client is offering:
Starting salary of £26,849 rising to £29,247 after successful completion of probation (inclusive of shift allowance)
Monday to Friday, 6 am - 1:25 pm / 1:20 pm - 9 pm
Permanent position
25 days + bank holidays
Early finish on Fridays
The role – Machine Operator:
Operate folding machine to achieve required levels of quality and output volumes
Set folding equipment, including feeder, transfer, print detection/pharmacode readers, folding section counter and delivery
Obtain approval and operate machine to ensure achievement of quality standards, adherence to customer specification and maintain output speed
Ensure daily/weekly machine guard checks are completed and documented
Ensure printing, cutting or folding faults, or any other issues affecting quality or non-compliance to customer specifications are referred immediately
Ensure the safe and efficient operation of equipment through regular maintenance
Adhering to all company procedures and good manufacturing Practice (GMP)
What our client is looking for in a Factory Operator:
Understanding of the folding process within a print and packaging manufacturing setting - ESSENTIAL
Experience of producing both parallel and cross-folds - ESSENTIAL
GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English - ESSENTIAL
Previous experience operating a Guillotine - BENEFICIAL
Key skills or similar Job titles:
