Job Title: Machine Operator
Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM, 4 days per week (including weekends)
Location: Newport, TF10
Pay Rate: £13.43 per hour
Job Description
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Machine Operator to join our clients team in Newport, TF10. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining machinery in a fast-paced production environment, ensuring high-quality output and efficiency. This is a night shift role, working from 6 PM to 6 AM (working 4 out of 7 days a week) including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate machinery safely and efficiently according to company procedures and production requirements.
* Perform routine machine checks, adjustments, and basic maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
* Monitor production processes, identifying and addressing issues to minimize downtime.
* Ensure products meet quality standards by performing regular quality checks and making necessary adjustments.
* Record and report production data, including outputs, issues, and maintenance logs.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines and contribute to a safe working environment.
* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets.
Requirements:
* Experience: Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar production role is preferred.
* Skills: Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot machinery issues.
* Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights as required.
* Availability: Willingness to work night shifts, including weekends, as part of a rotating schedule.
* Attitude: A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach to work.
