We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our primary schools in Harlow, starting immediately. In this role, you will provide essential support to non-verbal pupils, facilitating their learning and communication within the classroom environment. The position is full-time.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to non-verbal pupils, assisting them in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities.
Implement communication strategies and tools to facilitate effective interaction between non-verbal pupils and their peers, as well as with teaching staff.
Collaborate with class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for non-verbal pupils.
Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning materials to meet the specific needs of non-verbal pupils.
Monitor and record the progress of non-verbal pupils, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
