Logistics Operative
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am–3:00 pm, Friday 7:00 am–1:00 pm
Salary: £27,000 per annum with opportunities for progression
We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Operative to oversee and ensure the smooth running of operational activities within the logistics function of our business. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a thriving team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all warehouse and surrounding area activities comply with legislation, company policies, procedures, and contract practices.
* Complete all required documentation and handle information in a timely and accurate manner.
* Meet all goods-in and goods-out requirements on time and in full, ensuring collaboration with other business functions.
* Safely and efficiently operate company equipment in line with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
* Maintain and comply with Health & Safety standards in your area of work.
* Uphold ISO 9001:2008 system requirements within the logistics function.
* Ensure a high standard of housekeeping, keeping work areas tidy, secure, and locked when unoccupied.
* Manage stock (raw materials, finished goods, and consumables) within designated warehouse areas.
* Participate in developmental training as required.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is desirable.
* A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is advantageous.
* Strong team player with a willingness to learn new skills.
* Effective communication skills.
* Safety-conscious mindset and attention to detail.
* Flexible, with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
* Competent in using MS Office applications.
